haha, nice catch! I think it's two things...

On my laptop I have a bit.ly button that I hit to shorten things, but on my desktop I've been too lazy to install it, and so if I want to shorten a URL sometimes I'll just direct navigate to tinyurl since that's what pops in my brain at the moment.

And then secondly, when I make these twitter link posts, I just go to summize and search for "from:andrew_chen http" and copy the links one by one. And so sometimes it turns into tinyurl because Twitter defaults to that, as you suggested.

Hey Andrew – just wondering – why sometimes you use tinyurl and sometimes bitly? I assume it's b/c twitter defaults long urls to tiny and thats how they turn out, and sometimes you just use bitly to shorten?
