I&#039;m pretty sure that almost all the take-out&#039;s were at values less then what the VC&#039;s put in...I know google&#039;s acquisition of Urchin (which is the basis for Goog&#039;s analytics) was less then what the VCs put in, which means the founders made zilch.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Seems like a tough and unattractive space to me.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For example an install of a game app shouldn&#039;t be the same as a utility that I&#039;ll use for some time, not to be replaced by a new one like a game will be. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Another key point is the differences between the &quot;Containers&quot; as Open Social blossoms. Each container can control where an ad can be viewed. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It will be interesting to see if Google Analytics can become a mainstream &quot;free&quot; play or of other companies like the one&#039;s you covered can build real businesses.&lt;/p&gt;
