I agree, its aweful, however.. getting a decent domain name for under $10,000 is almost impossible. To top that off, when your startup is in its initial stages and you're trying to think branding.. positioning and attempting to come up with a name, as much as you'd rather have "youtube" you might not be able to afford anything but "yewtube".. possibly with the idea that when the financial bandwidth is there, you can rebrand... or not at all?
