Another great post Andrew :) My opinion is to OUTSOURCE these tedious (but imp) tasks to an experienced company/person with a "successful" track record. Any recommendations for us commenters here ?
Or a better suggestion, why dont YOU start such an agency ! :)

I believe in focusing on key competencies, and outsourcing stuff to those who have been thru the learning curve & have exp & systems in place to run with it quickly & successfully. I'd def use it once we launch our public beeta :)
Cheers, JD

If you have an network marketing online business, no doubt you’ve heard of funded proposals. Front end funded proposals are part of a process where you, as a marketer, sell inexpensive but very useful information products before you even talk to your prospects about joining your business. A short e-book or a monthly newsletter can actually be great optin bait that will convert more visitors to subscribers without any increase in ad cost. Exploding your downline growth with custom funded proposals is the lifeblood of any multilevel marketing program because is brings additional income to you from the 95% of prospects who will never join your primary business.

Helpful post!
I didn't try #1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 10 yet, half of them and think that my next step will be dealing with landing pages.

Some great customer acquisition drivers here. I made a similar post today that focuses on some of the critical baseline marketing activities that should be executed before focusing on drivers. One of the key baseline projects was what you called “Reduce user drag through the entire funnel”. Here’s a link to the post -

Handy list. The key to each of these tactics however lies in the execution. It doesn't do to simply check each of these items off a laundry list and think you've done your marketing duty. There's more secret sauce and hard work in the execution of each than most people realize. In fact, none of these should be thought of as ever being "finished" - they need to be diligently revisited and optimized over time.

Agree these are obvious but they're also the most important. Taking care of these little "details" is what will make you break away from the rest.

Think about these little details like when you compare interest rate vs a compounded interest rate.

Every little 1% extra when compounded will bring an order of magnitude more going foward. This is true for user, revenues and profits.

You mention that they're obvious, but programmers and site designers tend to get lazy with details. I've sent this link to everyone on my team who's involved with building our new ListBums website.

10 obvious strategies to ruthlessly acquire users

I've been looking for a list for how people go about acquiring users, and I haven't found a great one. So here's a group of obvious, standard strategies to acquire users, and details about a couple of them.

The strategies may be obvious, but they're nicely consolidated :D

I'll probably be looking at this post again, as we approach launch...
